I've always thought getting admitted to the hospital was fun. Everyone would come and visit you and you'd get all the tender loving care.
Then I realised, no it isn't after spending one night in Johor Specialist Hospital after getting my tonsils operated.
After getting admitted to your ward, a nurse comes and give you a check up. Then after getting dressed up in the surgical robe, a nurse comes with a wheelchair and brings you to the operating theatre.
At the transfer zone, you get off the wheelchair and on to a bed and they push you into the operation theatre. You go inside this freezing room and you stare around the room filled with documents and medicines.
Everyone treats you like you're invisible and you begin to freeze and do weird things like checking your nails and lifting up your hand. You find the patient next to you gone. Into one of the surgical room.
You begin to shiver and try to keep yourself warm. Then someone comes and push you into the surgical room, talking to you. Then you get transferred into the surgical bed. A nurse speaks to you and the doctor says he's going to do a check up and you believe him till he pokes a needle into you and you feel the pain.
He does some electrifying thing and you begin to see everyone moving in circles and you konk out. When you wake up, you find tubes sticking to many parts of your body and you feel numbness in your throat.
You wait for almost half an hour before the nurse takes you to your ward.
More here.
