Pameran Kerjaya.

5 Science 2 was chosen to attend the education fair at New York Hotel. Turned up as the earliest school there. Filled in enquiry forms from colleges. Mostly unknown colleges. Met couple of camp helpers there. :D Headed to the mamak stall opposite secretly and headed back.

Entertained ourselves by taking pictures. All of them wanted to take with C.L Ng.

Wahahaha. Credits to Flo

Omg.

The whole class.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Made it into the papers. Heh. Spot me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went for community service today, helped with distributing leaflets on palliative and hospice care, breast cancer awareness and care united. Gosh. I finally know how it feels like to be one of the Vivo employees who stands at the escalator distributing the leaflets.

Like I always did to the Vivo guy, I turned away his offer everytime. And today I knew how he felt. Most of them turned down my offer. It feels like you've been rejected.

Went off with Fiona and bought Summer home. :D

Another talk on Sunday. Followed by gerak gempur Sejarah on Monday. What's the point of it?

I came across a scribbling. "28th March. St John & VS Pb bbq. Kidding"

Bbq tomorrow. Barbecued chicken wings by C.L Ng herself for me :D

Post camp syndrome

I'd rather watch the 14 videos all over and over again.
I'd rather sleep on the cold hard floor with no blanket
I'd rather drink hot plain water instead of my orange juice.
I'd rather wait in line patiently for the toilet, bathing under a miserable tap.
I'd rather get skin allergy from the caterpillars
I'd rather go on teaching 'pusing belakang' while marching to the guy all over and over again.
I'd rather run from the auditorium to the hall and back to the auditorium again.
I'd rather eat margerine with sugar bread than my egg, sausage, bread everyday.
I'd rather listen to the guy going on about how he scored 90+ for accounts in english and failed for accounts in bm for SPM.
I'd rather stand under the hot sun with JMF guys and getting sunburnt.
I'd rather learn the 7 rope tying ways all over again.
I'd rather wake up at 5.45am and sleep at 1.30am.
I'd rather do the Tarzan & Jane Dance/Macarena/Chicken Dance at 6.30 am every morning.
I'd rather put up with the lalas who has their fringes and sideburns all over their faces while marching.
I'd rather put up with Agnes telling her siput babi joke all over and over again and claiming its funny when its not.
I'd rather not use my phone in camp the whole time.

I miss Shervynn telling us her librarian joke.
I miss it when 9 of us played games together, covering our mouths to prevent from laughing.
I miss it when all of us got into formation one when Maykah clapped her hands.

I bet all 9 of us misses camp. :'(

Turn back time please.

15/3

15th of March.

Stuck in the middle of camp, missing my dad's bbq party, and to witness my sis' face after she rolled fell down the stairs.

12 o'clock sharp, made my way to the toilet to bathe and while everyone was waiting for me to finish using the toilet, I called my Dad to wish him happy birthday while standing in front of the toilet bowl with him telling me he'd save me a slice of his durian cake all the way from Singapore and asking me how's camp.

I left him a card before I went off to camp. I even drew stick figures of us 5 siblings. Sorry I had to miss your birthday Dad. I'll be there next year :D

Happy belated birthday to Mrs Emilda too. "Wise men are born on this day" quotes Mrs Emilda. Hope you like your Estee Lauder lipstick and the filled card. And please don't kembang after reading all the praises from us.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rotarian meeting was political with Rotarian Freddy Long and his speech about Singapore and Malaysia. Unfinished plate of noodles and untouched chicken wing and melon. Quotes Rotarian Chua who looks damn familiar but I don't know who that looks like a doctor, " Come, take the prawns. Very fresh." And he proceeded by digging out all the prawns from the noodles and plop onto our plates. Room filled with atas people. Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants and so on.

-Duty and tuitions tomorrow. :S

Kem Belia

Day 1
After Xavier's celebration, Vanessa and I made our way to the headquarters. We were late and the whole bus of people were waiting for us. :X
Reached the camp site, Foon Yew Kulai and gaped with amazement. The whole school was like 3 or 4 times bigger than ours.

The field/stadium

the classes

one part of the school

Our school's Form 5's and Form 4's went there as helpers. Had an explanation about the games that we were going to conduct, went to the canteen which was like 2 or 3 times bigger than our's too to cut the cloth for the participants for their 3 legged race. I along with the other members were in charge of the tortoise jump game that included the presence of water. I was supposed to splash the participants that lost but ended up getting splashed by them. And other helpers sibuk aje came and splash me. =.= Continued with the 3 legged race and it was dinner time. We had good food. There was a portion of meat, vegetable and appetizer for each lunch box. After dinner there was a demonstration for bandaging by the officer followed by the participants to practice. Supper time and lights off. Wasn't used to sleeping on the hard floor but dozed off at last after a long exhausting day.

Our dorm

Day 2
Woke up feeling ever so cold. Washed up and went for morning exercise. We girls were the only helpers that woke up and helped with the morning exercise while most of them slept in. While washing up, an incident occured.

Maykah's spectacles fell in the toilet hole.

Not the sitting one. The squat one. She was already in tears when I went over to have a look. Jenny mustered up all her courage, tied her arm with plastic bag, squat and leaned over the hole and retrieved the specs.

After breakfast, it was footdrill. Though we were only in charge of CPR and Practical, we went and helped out. It was mostly the guys from JMF teaching the participants while we corrected their mistakes. The way one of them taught was so comical, Vanessa and I ended up laughing. The other helpers took over the afternoon shift and we girls slept. Woke up and learned rope tieing for Camp Craft. Dinner followed by Camp Craft. Supper time followed by a meeting for the helpers. Everyone got told off and there were some controversial issues raised. Barely could open my eyes during the meeting.

Day 3
Washed up, morning exercise and then the participants rotated for every activity. Fire drill, Stretcher drill, Practical and CPR. I was in Practical and we had to watch 14 videos for 4 times as there were 4 groups. Practical, Marching, Team test, CPR and a cartoon about the 7 principles. We had to make sure the participants weren't dozing off or playing with their phones. Those participants that were at the basketball court near the trees got infected by the caterpillars and there was an outbreak of skin allergy that spreaded to almost everyone. Some of them had to go to a clinic for a jab and lots of cream and medicine were bought for the affected people. Helpers had to help with the applying of vinegar and cream. Mei ki left and left us teary eyed with sunken hearts. After dinner, all of us got to watch Pursuit of Happyness. Most of us were dozing off. Helpers that helped the participant with the applying of vinegar got affected too. I had a little but I tried not to scratch and so it went off. Supper and bedtime. It was the best night as I dozed off the minute my head sank into my small little pillow.

Day 4
Washed up, morning exercise of Macarena and Chicken Dance conducted by the assistant camp leader. One joker he is. Made us all danced till most of our energy were drained out. After breakfast, footdrill revision. Then came the demonstration of footdrill by 27 people leaded by commander Kai Hui. They had to demonstrate in the middle of the rain. After that, we packed up our luggage and proceeded for the closing ceremony. Then it was photo-taking session. Wholeload of people took picture with the camp leader and another assistant camp leader who were brothers. The reason why was that they were quite good looking. They smiled at the camera till their mouths were aching. Many participants wanted to take picture with us Convent helpers too. Cheh wah. When the helper and the Committee members took a group picture, thousands of cameras came flashing at us. Left Foon Yew Kulai with a heavy heart.

Overall, we Convent helpers really enjoyed the camp. When we said that we were from Convent, they were somehow impressed. XD XD Probably because we could speak decent English. Rumour has it that we were the best helpers. 'Ren lao ren yuan' XD
These 4 days I had nothing to worried about, not thinking of anything, just involving myself whole heartedly in the camp. The first and the best camp I've ever had. :D

I miss camp already :(

Lunch with Adam

Adam came over from Singapore with his grandmother from Phillipines. Had a small gathering on Saturday.

Arrival of Adam

Fooooood

='(

motherly figure?

And if you're wondering what's the print on his shirt, its 'I'm the boss!'.

Cute until magical. I also want one.

Tepi Pantai

Had a closer view of the scene of people buying seafood at the seaside. Dad bought oysters home. Baked them in butter and garlic. =D Not too expensive, worth the money. One for RM 2. Saw some exotic shells and clams.

Mum's fascinated I made money from blogging courtesy of Nuffnang. =D

MRI

Made a trip down to Johor Specialist after realising the bump was still there after 2 months. I still love the disinfectant smell at the entrance of the hospital. :D
The last time I was there was when I had my tonsils removed.

Headed over to Dr. Tan Kok Keong's clinic, Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery. Told him about my condition and he was startled. Then I had to show him my butt in front of my dad, but luckily I faced my dad when the doctor checked. And yeah he examined the sore, with his icy cold fingers. :X

2 possibilities. Either benign or maglinant. My heart skipped a beat. I didn't expect it to be that worse. He suspected that the sore had nothing to do with my fall and asked me whether it appeared before the fall. He couldn't be sure of anything and so I had to go for the MRI scan. He explained about the machine like a magnet, attracting all my water molecules with the attraction force as strong as the Earth's and I couldn't move when I was in the capsule as the picture might turn out blur.

Headed down to the X-ray lab and not long after I was called. Somehow I wasn't so worried and I had to change into a robe and the nurse stuck something onto the sore. As I laid on the thing, it started moving in and it somehow reminded me of a coffin being rolled into the furnace. Choi.

For 20 minutes or so without moving, I started to think a lot. What if it was cancerous? What would I do? I had tears in my eyes and I diverted to thinking who to sell my tickets to and reminding myself there's peka and lisan tomorrow.

Then I was asked to turn around, positioning myself butt facing the air, lying on my chest. After a while I fell asleep. I became concious when the nurse came back to me. Scan ended and headed back to where my dad was waiting. Kesian. 40 minutes sitting there. Brought the results back to the doctor.I was the last patient there.

There was bad news and good news. Good news was it wasn't dangerous. Bad news however I have a blood clot between my epidermis and dermis. The blood clot had already dissolved but it's somehow stuck there. 2 ways to remove it. One is to suck it out through a needle. The other one is to wear a girdle to exert pressure on it. The doctor opted for the second one.

My dad doubt it works so I have to constantly rub off the sore. Now Kim and I have to both wear that thing except that hers was because of her back. Bill came to RM 920. RM 840 was for sleeping for 40 minutes. RM 80 was consultation fees.

So much for a fall. Feel guilty now.

Undang

Spent about 10 minutes looking for the place. Secluded place though, my dad thought it was the 'cuci kereta' place but it was behind it. Mum left me after enquiring on where to go for the class. =(

Went to class, sat down and the speaker wouldn't start till we filled up the empty spaces in front. In the end I had to sit right in front and with the air con blowing straight at me.

Started off with the colour test, everyone passed. Then the talk, he turned out to be quite funny, En. Muhammad Hanif Chu. Then came break time, he said there's no more break after this so I went and have lunch at 10.30 =.=. Alone.

The mi goreng sucks. Left half of it there and went back to class. At 12.30 there was another break wtf. Couldn't eat so I had guava. Alone. Headed back to class, read new moon till 2.10 till the next speaker came.

He introduced himself as Bakeri. "I suka kalau orang putih sebut nama saya sebab mereka sebut sebagai bakery. Nama saya selalu ada kat mana mana, apa apa bakery" said him. Oh when he returned our Ic's, he looked at mine and said, "Eh you sama birthday dengan saya, tahun depan kita pergi Hong Kong celebrate together la". I replied him, "Ok, air ticket you bayar la." And he replied "Air ticket no problem, I bayar, you keluarkan duit aje".

He's one joker wei.

The whole thing took about 7 hours. Without the dilly-dallys, it could have ended with 6 instead. Came home, with gastric.

Coincidence or not, an Ivan look alike was in my class. Except for the fact he was shorter and had a little moustache.

The test next. Probably next sunday. Going for checkup on Thursday. Butt hasn't healed yet.
